<BASIC KEYSTROKES>
Press: To Do:
Esc EXIT: Close PC-Browse windows, return to underlying application.
Home SCROLL Scroll window to the leftmost position.
End SCROLL Scroll one window (78 columns) to the right.
sEsc UNLOAD: Remove PC-Browse from memory.
F1 HELP: (this text)
F2 OPEN: Make a copy of current window on screen (if enough room).

sF2 CLOSE: Close (remove) the currently active window on screen.

F3 REOPEN: Reopen the most recently shut window, if you haven't cloned
any new windows in the interim.

F4 BACK: Move to and display the previous location on location list.

sF4 LIST: Display the current location list itself, then select a
location and display it in the current window.

F5 FORWARD: If you've moved back in the location list with F4, then
move forward again to the next location and display it.

F6 FILE: Load a (new) file in the currently active window.

sF6 SET: Set the device ('PRN' for printer, or a file name) that you
print to.

F7 PASTE: Paste the current page, window contents, selected lines, or
the name of the file you're viewing into the application
that was running when you popped up PC-Browse, as if you
had typed it yourself.

sF7 PRINT: Send the current page, window contents, or selected lines
to your printer or to a file (as determined by sF6).

F8 DIRECTORY: Display directory. Select file to view.

F9 FIND: Enter text to search for in the current window.

sF9 HERE: Add your current location to the location list.

<BOOKMARKS>
SET a bookmark cHome
RETURN to the bookmark cEnd
Bookmarks save the file you're in plus your location in that file. They are
saved across files, so if you switch to another file you can still return to
the bookmarked file with cEnd. Bookmarks are user-defined. PC-Browse never
sets one on its own.

<DEFINING PARAMETERS>
Parameters look like this: /parameter:value
Some parameters have two or three values separated by a period.
For more about parameters and their default setting see topics under
Customizing
Parameters can be defined in four places:
1. In the BR.DEF file.
Each parameter should be on its own line.
For Example: /C: (for color monitors)
/W:7 (window length of 7 lines)
2. In the DOS Environment.
Syntax: SET BR=/parameter1 /parameter2 /parameter3
At the DOS prompt or in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file
For Example: SET BR=/0:112 (window frame attribute)
3. At the Command Line.
Syntax: BR filename /parameter1 /parameter2 /parameter3
Filename is optional
For Example: BR HAMLET /C: (load Hamlet, color monitor)
4. Within a file.
Syntax: [BR=/parameter1 /parameter2 /parameter3]
Parameter definition should be on the first line of the file.
For Example: [BR=/I:30.32 /J:22.20 /K:0.0]
